MEMBER BENEFITS

These days, a lot of grocery stores offer discounts to customers who agree to carry the store's club-member card when they shop. At Ukiah Natural Foods Co-op, members literally own the store, so membership benefits extend beyond the discount.

Basic Benefits

• When your membership is current, you receive a 4% discount off your purchases when you present your member card.
• On Customer Appreciation days, members receive an additional 4% discount, while nonmembers receive a 4% discount.
• On Senior Sundays (every Sunday), senior members receive an additional 2% discount.
• You receive a discount on Co-op classes.
• You can write a check for up to $50 over the amount of your purchase. Like any customer, you can ask for up to $50 cash back on an ATM purchase.
• You can borrow books and videos from the co-op's lending library.
• You can use your membership card as a Virtual Coffee Card or Virtual Juice Card.
• You can vote in the co-op's elections.
• You receive the co-op's newsletter.
• You get the satisfaction of supporting a democratic cooperative as well as natural and sustainable farming practices.
• You get Member-to-Member discounts

Senior Discount

Members who are 65 or older receive a permanent discount of 2%, plus an additional 2% on Sundays. This is in addition to the regular 4% discount.

While the regular discount is for current members only, the senior discount is for all members. Associate members receive the same discount as the primary member.

To receive the senior discount, simply present your driver's license at the Customer Service desk to prove your birthdate. You only need to do that once -- your account will be modified to reflect the higher discount level on all future purchases.
